Security4Media announces its Content Authenticity Platform
September 2026
Security4Media invites members and interested parties to collaborate on or make use of its content authenticity platform.
The platform combines a service for authenticating and signing media with provenance information and a customizable player for verifying video content.
Together, the two components support trusted media workflows from content creation to end-user verification.
Security4Media becomes a CVE Numbering Authority
September 2026
We are pleased to share that S4M is now a CVE Numbering Authority under the CVE Program, under the ENISA Root.
As a CNA, S4M can now directly assign CVE identifiers to vulnerabilities found in specialised software and hardware used in media and broadcasting (that are not in the scope of another CNA), and publish CVE records on behalf of media organisations, an important step in strengthening how our industry identifies, discloses and manages vulnerabilities.
Making fast, well-coordinated disclosure is more critical than ever, with the acceleration of the pace at which vulnerabilities are discovered.
Having a CNA for media also strengthens the media industry’s position as it navigates its wider cybersecurity and regulatory obligations, including under the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
This milestone reflects S4M’s ongoing commitment, through our Cybersecurity Committee, to building the technical resilience of European media infrastructure and giving the sector a stronger, more coordinated voice in the global vulnerability disclosure ecosystem.
We look forward to putting this new role to work for our members and the wider media community.
